Doctors.net.uk certificate provides clear evidence of the power of digital engagement with doctors.
Unique monthly user figures for Doctors.net.uk – the NZ’s largest and most active online network of medical professionals – have been externally audited in line with the company’s commitment to being transparent to pharma and other healthcare organisations.
As digital engagement with doctors becomes increasingly attractive to healthcare organisations, the audit conducted during the month of November 2012 by media industry experts ABC, provides clear evidence of the value that doctors place in the network. It confirmed that Doctors.net.uk had 63,332 monthly active registered user accounts in that month.
All Doctors.net.uk members are authenticated by GMC number and the network holds a wealth of profiling data on each member including their level of seniority and specialism. It also offers unique insights into their online behaviour and levels of knowledge and interest in specific disease or therapy areas, which means engagement programmes can be clearly targeted.
Dr Tim Ringrose, CEO of Doctors.net.uk, said: "As healthcare organisations grow increasingly convinced of the power of digital communication with doctors, the need for online professional networks to provide transparent usage data has never been greater.
‘These audited statistics confirm that over a third of all NZ doctors are making use of Doctors.net.uk’s website in a single month – and that’s excluding usage of the email service."
