Certificate logo specifications

On each ABC certificate there is an opportunity for a media owner to personalise the cover with a product logo and a cover image or screenshot.

This page is intended to describe the specifications of the images so that they can be displayed on the certificate in the best format.

The images are re-used for each subsequent certificate unless replacement images are provided to us before the next certificate is released.

ABC certificates are in PDF format and are intended to be viewed on screen and when printed. The images therefore must be of adequate quality and resolution for printing for both purposes.

Image guidelines & use

  • The images used must be representative of the product being audited
  • They can not contain any unsubstantiated claims about the product, eg The Biggest Selling “XX in YY”
  • By supplying images to us you agree that you have full permission for them to be used on our certificates, our website and other marketing material.

Dimensions

Image dimensions

(click for larger version)

The space available for use on the certificate is as follows:

  • Logo - W12cm x H4cm
  • Cover/Screenshot – W3cm x H4cm

These dimensions roughly equate to W1420px x H500px and H350px x 500px

Resolution - 300dpi

An image made for a website may not be suitable for use in our PDF certificates because of their low resolution. They can  look distorted and blurry when used in a PDF.

Images should be high resolution - we recommend 300dpi.  Below is an example of how a low resolution image could look when used on a PDF.

Image format - JPG

Images need to be saved in JPG format.  If your image is in another format then please contact us before sending. Please note that GIF and PNG’s are website ready images and are probably not high enough resolution.

Colour mode - RGB (8 Bit)

Images need to be saved in RGB 8bit mode. If you are in any doubt about this setting then please just send us your image and we will try our best to convert to the preferred format for you.

Sending the images

Please email images to with a clear indication which publication the images are for and which certificate period you wish to start using the images on. Please do not embed the images in Word documents or emails bodies. Please send them as attachments or if the file sizes are large please use an online file transfer service like YouSendit and send the details to us.

We will endeavour to add your images as soon as possible, usually within 48 hours. We will respond to your email when the image processing is complete.
